If you are still doubting the mobile take over, Google becoming THE king of mobile development should give you a hint. If Google is, to you, any yardstick in the technology world. The irony is that some are seriously wondering whether the app’s iOS version turned out better than it’s Android counterpart. Will this app be the wooden stick in Apple’s heart?
Notwithstanding, I discovered an iOS better integrated with major social networks, emphasizing privacy, unveiling new switches to turn offline life on and pushing the traditional phone function to the background. I have to wonder though: does such an OS really take a huge technological leap or just the time to both better negotiate integration with those major social networks and hold a few features on the back burner as stocking stuffers. We now know that Apple-Facebook (800 million users at the time) had failed for iOS 5 and the winner turned out to be Twitter (200 million).
It is then like stretching and slowing down time; where you once had the choice between as-it-happens-live-no-rehearsing and reflected-daunting-blow-by-blow communication means; we now have an a-la-carte, always-on, on our terms opportunities to communicate, connect and create new relationships.
